International Association of Defense Counsel

Associate, Zachary Greenbaum, attended the IADC Trial Academy, a weeklong program at Stanford Law School that focused on the art and science of jury trial advocacy.

We’re thrilled to share that our Associate, Zachary Greenbaum, recently participated in the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) 50th Annual Trial Academy at Stanford Law School. This week-long program was a deep dive into the art and science of jury trial advocacy, featuring a blend of presentations, demonstrations, and networking opportunities with leading civil defense litigation attorneys from across the U.S.

The academy was an excellent learning experience, with insightful sessions led by distinguished experts such as Christina Marinakis, PsyD., J.D., who provided invaluable jury consultation strategies, Bob Christie, who presented on cutting edge trial technology designed to capture the attention of jurors and convey arguments in an effective manner, and Craig Thompson, who offered essential tips for young lawyers navigating the complexities of jury trial and courtroom dynamics.

Participants engaged in hands-on practice, honing their skills in opening statements, direct and cross-examination of both lay and expert witnesses and crafting compelling closing arguments. Under the guidance of top defense trial attorneys, Zachary had the opportunity to put theory into practice, gaining practical insights and experience in every step of a jury trial.

Congratulations to Zachary for completing this intensive training and bringing new expertise to our team! We’re excited to see how these enhanced skills will contribute to our continued excellence in legal practice.
